Szlachetny żakard
Silk jacquard ties with a grainy texture that deepens and intensifies the fabric’s colour saturation. This may be reminiscent of grenadine, although the pattern is woven into the fabric on a jacquard loom. From a distance, they look dignified and elegant; up close, their distinct texture is clearly visible. The pattern woven into the silk’s structure does not fade. These ties, made from Italian silk, are now available from the Tiestore.pl Tailoring Workshop in Warsaw, which has been in business for nearly 30 years.

Silk from Lombardy
Como, in Lombardy, has been Europe's silk capital since the 15th century, and the family-run mills there supply the jacquard fabrics for our ties. The technique was invented by Joseph-Marie Jacquard in 1801: the pattern or texture is created in the structure of the cloth itself, so it neither fades nor rubs off. Silk is a natural protein fibre, soft and resilient.
What to wear them with
Muted colours and a distinct texture make these ties a good match for plain, striped and checked suits, and for a white or light blue shirt. Darker shades work well with a classic suit, lighter ones with a more relaxed jacket. A silk pocket square in the tone of the tie completes the look.
Jacquard that recalls grenadine
Grenadine is an open gauze-weave silk in which two warp threads twist around each weft. The ties in this collection are different: they are jacquard, with the grainy effect produced on a jacquard loom. Even so, they give a similar impression of a matte, textured surface. Authentic grenadine can be found in our grenadine silk ties.
