Jacquard and printed silk — two schools of design
The silk bow ties in the Tiestore.pl collection are made from two types of fabric, differing both in the character of their pattern and in how that pattern is produced. Jacquard silk has its design woven directly into the fabric structure on a Jacquard loom — it is permanent, does not fade, and the interplay of light across the weave gives it a depth no printed fabric can match. Printed silk offers unlimited freedom of colour and composition — bold ornamental designs, paisley, medallions and figurative motifs that would be impossible to achieve in jacquard weaving. Both fabrics are sourced from family-run mills in Lombardy, where the tradition of tie-cloth weaving spans several generations.
Self-tie and adjustable
Bow ties in the Tiestore.pl collection are available in two versions: self-tie and adjustable. A self-tie bow tie produces a knot no machine can replicate — slightly asymmetrical, with the visible evidence of a hand at work, it is proof that a man has genuinely dressed. The adjustable version offers the convenience of a quick fastening without compromising the quality of the cloth or the finish. Both versions are available in several standard sizes, suited to a range of face and collar proportions.
Limited series — every pattern unique
Every silk bow tie in the Tiestore.pl collection is produced in a limited run — each fabric appears in the collection once and is not repeated. A bow tie purchased today is an accessory its owner will share with very few others. Patterns are selected with an eye to coherence across the collection as well as variety — from classic geometric designs to bold floral and oriental compositions.
Bespoke orders
The Tiestore.pl tailoring atelier will make a silk bow tie in a non-standard size on individual commission — larger for men with a broader face, smaller for narrow collar spreads. Bow ties in fabrics outside the current collection are also available on request. Craft and design at the highest level.
